The WECO TINY Compact Undersink Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System is a complete 4-stage water purification system designed to be installed in small spaces too small for traditional RO water filtration systems. The TINY reverse osmosis filtration system is the ideal water purification filter for home, office, or anywhere safe, fresh-tasting water is desired. The small size allows the filter system to be installed in bathrooms, inside vanities and cabinets, vacation homes, cabins, recreational vehicles, pop-up cambers and boats. The WECO TINY reverse osmosis system uses four individual stages of water filtration to create pure, refreshing drinking water. The process starts by pre-filtering the water through a 30-micron spun-bonded sediment filter. This prefilter removes tiny particles that can get into the water supply. Particles of iron oxide (rust), silt, sand grains and insect parts are common drinking water contaminants. Sediment removal protects your family from drinking these particles and prevents the filtration system from clogging. The sediment filter is contained in a clear, see-through filter housing, making it easy for you to see when the filter needs to be replaced. No need to guess! Next the water passes through a 5-micron solid activated carbon block adsorption cartridge. This second filtration stage removes taste and odor-causing disinfection chemicals like chlorine and chloramine. The porous carbon cartridge also removes rotten-egg gas (hydrogen sulfide) and musty odors from natural organic substances (geosmin). Chlorine disinfection is known to form cancer-causing byproducts in the water. These carcinogens, called trihalomethanes (THMs), are removed by the activated carbon block filter. The activated carbon cartridge also removes organic contaminants like pesticides, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals and solvents that contaminate municipal and well water sources.
